Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Income Officer for a housing association based in Manchester. The role is on an initial 3 month contract. The role offers flexible working hours and pays £22 - £25 an hour via umbrella agency.

The role:

Deliver a comprehensive rent collection service by monitoring a case load of rent accounts for customers in arrears.
Managing the arrears process in compliance with group Policies and procedures.
Visiting customers in their homes with the Housing Officers to be a visual point of contact for Rent issues
Ensure that appropriate legal action is taken to recover debt
Engaging with external agencies, e.g. local authorities, Department for Works and Pensions, when required.

The person:

Experience of income management or debt recovery in a social housing environment
Knowledge of welfare benefits
Excellent customer service skills
