PURPOSE OF ROLEOur client, a global insurer, is seeking a driven Accident & Health Team Leader and Underwriter to oversee A&H renewals via e-trade platforms. This is a key opportunity for an experienced underwriter ready to step into a leadership role and help shape a high-performing team culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite Accident & Health products, evaluating risks and setting appropriate terms
- Guide underwriting strategy in line with business goals
- Support junior underwriters through coaching and development
- Promote a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-focused team culture
- Manage workload distribution and ensure high service levels to broker partners
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
DAY-TO-DAY
- Assess and price A&H risks across a range of renewal cases
- Collaborate with peers and senior management on underwriting decisions
- Monitor team activity and adjust resources where needed
- Provide daily support and feedback to team members
- Communicate regularly with brokers to maintain strong service standards
EXPERIENCE
- Solid background in A&H underwriting is essential
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience is an advantage
- Exposure to e-trade platforms preferred

- Strong analytical and risk assessment capability
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proactive team player with a passion for leading and developing others
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume environment
