Job Title: Litigation Paralegal Location: Manchester City CentreSalary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum Contract: Full or Part Time, Permanent Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities:

  • Assisting solicitors and team leaders by delivering a range of legal and case-related support tasks
  • Conducting legal research, pre-claim investigations, and providing initial assessments of new cases
  • Preparing, editing, and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, trial bundles, and instructions to counsel
  • Drafting professional correspondence and communications for clients and third parties
  • Handling enquiries from clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders through various channels (in person, phone, email)
  • Coordinating and managing administrative aspects of assigned claims, such as court scheduling, file organisation, and CRM record maintenance
  • Participating in settlement discussions, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolution processes between businesses and insurers
  • Accompanying counsel to court hearings and trials, and assisting with case preparation and documentation
  • Supporting internal collaboration through general administrative duties that promote smooth communication across departments

Application Criteria:

  • Previous experience handling commercial litigation, civil litigation or personal injury claims is essential
  • Exposure to Group Action or Consumer Action claims is advantageous
  • Exposure to litigated or pre-litigated claims
  • Prior experience as a case handling Paralegal
