An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Risk Analyst to join a dynamic team in Manchester. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the risk framework, ensuring customers are treated fairly and good customer outcomes are delivered. This role offers a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £65,000, reflecting the level of expertise required.

What you'll do:

As a Risk Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting the Group Head of Risk in maintaining the risk framework. Your excellent understanding of risks faced within a delegated environment will enable you to ensure that Risk Registers and Controls are always current. You will provide an independent review and challenge of the adequacy of the RCSA and risk data held by the risk owner/manager. Your role will also involve acting as a contact point for business for Risk and Control Self-Assessment queries. Furthermore, you will support delivery of RCSA Training across the business and keep abreast with regulatory developments.

  • Support the Group Head of Risk in maintaining the risk framework
  • Ensure that Risk Registers and Controls are up-to-date
  • Provide an independent review and challenge of the adequacy of the RCSA and risk data held by the risk owner/manager
  • Act as a contact point for business for Risk and Control Self-Assessment queries
  • Support delivery of RCSA Training across the business
  • Keep up-to-date with regulatory developments

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Risk Analyst position brings at least 5 years' experience working in a risk environment, preferably with experience of working in a regulatory environment. Your excellent understanding of risks faced within a delegated environment coupled with your knowledge of regulatory and compliance legislation governing insurance business will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, your good relationship building skills and effective communication abilities - both verbal and written - will enable you to excel in this position.

  • At least 5 years working in a risk environment
  • Experience of working in a regulatory environment
  • Experience within General Insurance
  • Experience within Risk and Control Self-Assessment
  • Excellent understanding of risks faced within a delegated environment
  • Good understanding of risk frameworks
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance legislation governing insurance business
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Effective communication skills - both verbal and written
