My client is a technology-led leisure sector specialist, with a portfolio of global businesses.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join the Group function of this fast-growing, well-backed organisation. The Group has doubled in size since 2021 and has plans to maintain ambitious growth going forward. As a result of these growth ambitions, we are looking to develop our finance team through the recruitment of a high calibre Group Tax Manager. This role is a newly created role that will offer the right candidate the opportunity to develop a new department for the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance across the Group and reviewing and implementing tax processes and controls over a wide range of taxes in both the UK and overseas. The Group has expanded rapidly in recent years and has a footprint mainly in the UK but also has significant presence in many overseas territories; the role is critical in ensuring financial obligations are met and for the continued success of our ambitious and fast-growing business.

You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and be based in the impressive central Manchester offices with hybrid working. To excel in this role, you'll need to be a meticulous person with an excellent eye for detail. This role requires an individual who can meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure. For this role, we're keen to bring in someone who champions fresh ideas. This role would really suit somebody who is agile in their approach.

The role is suitable for someone wishing to undertake part time work of four working days per week.

This role sits within operational, compliance and performance.

The right candidate for this role will be:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA
  • Be trained within practice and be looking for your first or second move from practice
  • Have extensive experience in Tax both UK and international
  • Be process driven
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Be very confident in your own ability
