Portfolio Payroll is collaborating with a well-established organisation within the public infrastructure sector, who are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their payroll team based in central Manchester on a hybrid working basis.

As a Payroll Administrator, reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all staff.
  • Accurately calculate salaries, including overtime, deductions, and statutory payments.
  • Contribute to year-end tasks including issuing P60s and preparing P11Ds.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent employee information is reflected in payroll.
  • A desire to learn and understand our time scheduling software.

Desirable skills and attributes:

  • Proficient using Excel and Oracle
  • Experience in a high volume payroll experience
  • Confident Communicator
  • Good eye for detail, and can work with precision
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
