Main Duties:
- Conduct thorough assessments for Blue Badge eligibility, considering both visible and non-visible disabilities.
- Evaluate applications against eligibility criteria with accuracy and sensitivity.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with applicants regarding assessment outcomes.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with local policies and data protection laws.
- Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to support applicants and streamline processes.
- Contribute to continuous service improvements through feedback and sharing best practices.
- Experience in health or social care settings, preferably with assessment responsibilities.
- Knowledge of Blue Badge eligibility criteria and disability legislation preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (we can assist).
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable.
- Ongoing training and CPD (including protected CPD time).
