Occupational Therapist - Rehousing Team

Full-time (35 hours) or Part-time (minimum 28 hours, over 4 days)

Hybrid working - minimum 2 office days per week, with travel across Greater Manchester

We are partnering with a local Authority who are recruiting a locum Occupational Therapist for their Rehousing Team in Manchester. This is an opportunity to use your housing adaptations expertise to make a real difference to the lives of Manchester residents.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess residents in their own homes for housing adaptations.
  • Match applicants to available adapted properties and support them with viewings.
  • Visit customers, both children and adults, at home to carry out medical assessments for priority for moving and to complete reports.
  • Provide high-quality advice on rehousing options available to residents.
  • Manage a varied caseload, finding creative solutions for complex cases.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to secure positive housing outcomes for individuals and families.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy and must have current HCPC registration.
  • Housing adaptations experience is essential.
