Risk & Compliance Analyst

We’re partnering with a highly regarded organisation to recruit a Risk & Compliance Analyst to join their established and collaborative team. This is a varied role where you'll get exposure to a broad range of compliance and regulatory tasks, supporting the firm’s risk framework and helping ensure best practice is maintained across the business.

Initially, the role will be office-based (in central Manchester), with hybrid working offered thereafter (typically 1 day working from home per week).

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in compliance. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities of the Risk & Compliance Analyst:

  • Coordinate new starter processes, including regulatory paperwork and training.
  • Monitor and manage SmartSearch alerts, reporting findings to fee earners.
  • Research legal and regulatory changes impacting the firm.
  • Deliver training sessions on risk topics to the team.
  • Liaise with Client Services Team on referral agreements.
  • Maintain SRA records through mySRA and manage practising certificates.
  • Handle incoming risk & compliance queries via central channels.
  • Support day-to-day risk & compliance operations.
  • Facilitate the firm's practising certificate renewal process.
  • Prepare for external assessments like Lexcel and CQS.
  • Update central registers and assist with data protection breaches.
  • Conduct procedural file reviews across all firm departments.

Key requirements of the Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst:

  • Law degree or equivalent legal training.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
