Annual Salary between £40,000 - £45,000

Day to Day Duties

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, your duties will involve:

Complete the day-today responsibilities of the Quality function in the value stream team to which you are allocated to support
Utilise the standardised Quality Engineering tools and processes to ensure that all Quality activities are completed accurately and consistently across the organisation
Lead the implementation of effective APQP processes within the value stream team to which you are allocated to support
Alongside the Process Engineer, complete the PFMEA and Control plan activities for all production processes
Develop, implement and maintain robust process controls which support effective product and process quality
Monitor and analyse manufacturing process data, identifying and proposing solutions for quality improvement continuously
Work alongside the Manufacturing Engineering team to drive quality performance improvements within the Production process
Identify and implement process control measures, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques, to ensure consistent quality and reduce process variation

Essential Skills

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer it is essential that you:

Significant Quality Engineering experience in a complex AS9100 Rev D or ISO9001 managed manufacturing environment
Experienced in the use of standard Quality management methodologies including APQP, PPAP, PSW, FAIR, ISIR, SPC, and Control Plans
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues
Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Desirable Experience

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, it would be desirable if you are:

Trained AS9100/ISO9001 Auditor
Experienced with the use of CMM Measuring Technology
Experienced with LEAN manufacturing methodologies and tools, such as Single Piece Flow, Jidoka, SMED and 5S
Experienced with standard project management tools, such as Microsoft Project Gantt Charts and Project Charters
