HVAC Specialist
Location: Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, or Sheffield (Hybrid - 3 days on site)
Contract Length: Until March 2026 (with possible extension)
Rate: Up to 550 per day (Umbrella, inside IR35)
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Specialist to support a major public sector organisation in delivering a more energy-efficient and sustainable estate. This role will play a key part in shaping HVAC standards, processes, and compliance while driving innovation and supporting Net Zero goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement HVAC processes and standards (BMS, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related equipment).
- Ensure compliance, safety, and performance across the supply chain and service delivery.
- Manage HVAC assets, PPM schedules, and compliance registers.
- Audit projects, analyse asset performance, and identify improvements.
- Act as subject matter expert, providing guidance, technical advice, and support to major projects.
Essential Skills
- Significant experience with HVAC systems in large estates.
- Strong knowledge of legislation, safety, and compliance standards.
- Expertise in asset management and PPM scheduling (e.g., SFG20).
- Stakeholder management with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and compliance solutions.
