Aspire People are working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in the M11 area, who are seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is a school that values strong relationships, high expectations, and teamwork. The successful HLTA will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers and senior leaders to support learning, deliver interventions, and occasionally lead whole-class sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, or KS2

Lead small group interventions to support attainment

Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs

Support assessment, marking, and lesson preparation

Maintain a positive, well-managed learning environment

Requirements

HLTA status or equivalent qualification

Recent experience working in a UK primary school (within the last 2 years)

Confidence leading whole-class learning

Strong behaviour management and communication skills
