Quality Assurance Advisor - Education

Location: Regional - remote/home base with regular travel across the Northern sites*

You must have your own car - Northern sites are: 3 sites in Lancashire, a site in Cheshire, a site in Wakefield, a site in Stoke and a site in Derby

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 dependent upon experience

Hours: Full- time (40hrs per week)

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • Must have undertaken Leadership roles within a UK Education Setting e.g. Headteacher, Deputy or Assistant Headteacher or SENCO with Leadership responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of SEN
  • A credible subject matter expert who will lead by example, at all times demonstrating the values and standards of this SEN Schools' Group.
    • Detailed knowledge of regulations e.g. Independent School Standards and Ofsted
    • Knowledge of all registration requirements for all this SEN Group's services
    • Knowledge of legislation/regulation for the management of sensitive and confidential data.
    • Knowledge of Quality and Risk systems and organisational requirements
    • Knowledge of reporting systems including relevant databases and excel
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills able to work collegiately and make change happen
  • Excellent, clear written and verbal communication
  • Has tenacity, resilience and is willing to constructively challenge at all levels.
  • Is organised and process driven able to use powerful assessment tools
  • Ability to travel (inc. overnight stays), drivers licence and access to a car

This SEN Schools' Group is one of the largest providers of SEND educational and care services in the country, supporting over 1,200 children, young people and adults, and employing over 1,500 staff spread across 27 services around England.

Due to the continued growth of this SEN Schools' Group they’re looking for two Quality Assurance Advisors to join quality team. You will support school/college improvement and ensure this SEN Schools' Groups' Quality and Assurance systems, policies and processes are fully embedded and complied with in each of the sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embedding the Quality Assurance framework for The Group by effectively and regularly assessing schools and colleges against their relevant statutory standards and ensures actions for improvement are in place.
  • You will be a subject matter expert on all regulatory matters relating to the education of children and young people.
  • Ensuring all services visited always have the correct and most appropriate policies and procedures relevant to registration.
  • Effectively use all Quality Information Systems required for company reporting and analysis as well as ensuring all notifications and compliance reporting are completed.
  • You will lead by example in the proposal of quality innovation and implementation of best practice ideas.
  • Ensuring that Site Leadership Teams are trained and kept informed of all relevant changes to Quality Assurance frameworks and relevant regulation. Please note that duties will vary and you will be expected to contribute to the overall aims of the team when required
