About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Area Director of Operations to lead and oversee multiple nursing and residential care homes in the Manchester area. This strategic role will focus on driving operational excellence, ensuring the highest standards of care quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across all sites. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in healthcare or residential care operations, a proven track record in multi-site management, and a passion for improving patient/resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead operational strategies to enhance care quality, efficiency, and profitability across multiple nursing and residential homes.
Manage, mentor, and support home managers and care teams to deliver exceptional resident experiences.
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements to maintain high standards of care.
Oversee budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize home performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and compassionate care.
Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and support teams to improve workflows and outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in operations management within nursing or residential care homes, ideally across multiple sites.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance, CQC standards, and resident care requirements.
Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and forecasting.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Understanding of emerging trends in residential and nursing care.
