What You'll Be DoingAs a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
Support the Registered Manager in running a safe, child-centred home (up to 3 young people).
Lead shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
Help develop individual care plans and ensure every child is supported emotionally and practically.
Support staff inductions and training, promoting good practice and a positive team culture.
Provide therapeutic care and help children manage complex behaviours and emotions.
Take part in fun activities, days out, and holidays helping create special moments and positive experiences.
Keep accurate records and uphold safeguarding protocols and professional standards.
Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a childrens residential setting.
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Minimum 22 years old (as per Ofsted regulations).
A manual driving licence is essential.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and team leadership.
A calm, resilient, and child-focused approach.
Competitive salary: £30,000 £37,000, based on experience
