Our Client, Stockport Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Locality Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- Provide effective and visible leadership ensuring that the service perform well and in line with the strategic plan, goals and objectives.
- To operate to a consistently high standard of practice and thus demonstrating a commitment to sustaining and promoting the values of social work including knowledge and application of legislative frameworks, Analytical and self-reflective skills, sound professional judgement and adherence to policies, standards and procedures
- Operate as an effective member of the HSCP’s extended Management Team
- Provide direction for the team; engage, motivate and inspire others; support the transformational change agenda; give a sense of purpose; and role model the HSCP’s values.
- Lead and manage employees in accordance with the organisations policies.
- Create an environment in which people can do their best work, setting and agreeing standards of performance and addressing unacceptable standards of performance and behaviour.
- Promote continuous improvement and efficiency and encourage creativity and innovation with a focus on improving service outcomes
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have experience as Social Work Team Manager
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
