Responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide effective and visible leadership ensuring that the service perform well and in line with the strategic plan, goals and objectives.
  • To operate to a consistently high standard of practice and thus demonstrating a commitment to sustaining and promoting the values of social work including knowledge and application of legislative frameworks, Analytical and self-reflective skills, sound professional judgement and adherence to policies, standards and procedures
  • Operate as an effective member of the HSCP’s extended Management Team
  • Provide direction for the team; engage, motivate and inspire others; support the transformational change agenda; give a sense of purpose; and role model the HSCP’s values.
  • Lead and manage employees in accordance with the organisations policies.
  • Create an environment in which people can do their best work, setting and agreeing standards of performance and addressing unacceptable standards of performance and behaviour.
  • Promote continuous improvement and efficiency and encourage creativity and innovation with a focus on improving service outcomes

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have experience as Social Work Team Manager
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
