Transport Planner - Manchester - Up to 32,000 per annum!
Are you an experienced transport planner in general haulage looking for an exciting opportunity within a market leading company?
Job type: Permanent
Hours: 4 on/4 off days
Salary: Up to 32,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a fleet of drivers on a daily basis
- Booking deliveries
- Monitoring driver times, progress, providing ETAs to ensure good time keeping
- Route planning
- Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and company policies
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delays, changes or updates
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a transport planner
- Legal compliance knowledge - Tachographs, infringements, WTDs
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent UK geographical knowledge
- Organised and able to work on own initiative
