Travel Operations Team Leader Are you a passionate travel professional with excellent flights & GDS skills and leadership experience, ready to take the next step in your career? A multi award-winning travel company is seeking a Travel Operations Team Leader to join their after sales operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a successful team and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to customers.  Salary of £33k to £35k, office based in Greater Manchester.

Travel Operations Team Leader - Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve objectives
  • Ongoing evaluation of team performance and provide ongoing feedback, training, and support
  • Manage complex customer enquiries and booking escalations with professionalism and efficiency
  • Oversee booking amendments, documentation, and administrative processes to ensure effective processes are in place
  • Work with internal colleagues across departments to streamline workflows and enhance the customer journey
  • Be a strong company ambassador and represent the brand with a customer-first attitude and set high service standards across the team
  • Support resource planning, scheduling, and shift management to meet operational needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team process development

Travel Operations Team Leader - Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager within the travel industry ideally working for a tour operator, cruise company, airline or business travel company.
  • Strong GDS experience is a requirement for this role along with excellent fares & ticketing knowledge.
  • Passion for travel, with a customer focused approach.
  • Ability to motivate while managing performance effectively
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Adaptable, forward-thinking, and a strong team player in a dynamic travel environment

Travel Operations Team Leader - Additional Information:

  • Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
  • Full-time permanent role
  • Monday to Saturday (approx. 2 Saturdays per month)
  • Range of shifts with opening hours being 8AM to 6PM
