We are currently recruiting for a Working Foreman to join a well-established civil engineering contractor operating in the Mansfield area. This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for small to medium-sized site teams, while also remaining actively involved in the day-to-day site work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and site plans

  • Coordinate labour and subcontractors on site

  • Order and manage materials to ensure works progress efficiently

  • Ensure all health & safety standards are met and maintained

  • Liaise with site managers and clients to ensure project time lines and expectations are met

  • Support the team by working on the tools as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Foreman or Site Supervisor within the civil engineering or ground works sector

  • Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings

  • Confident managing site materials and organising deliveries

  • CSCS card required; SSSTS or SMSTS preferred

  • Driving licence preferred due to site locations

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site demands
