Our client has a strong reputation for delivering bespoke electrical solutions across data centres, healthcare, government, and commercial sectors, working on high-profile projects.

Due to significant growth and expansion, we require an experienced Project Engineer or Manager with strong electrical experience to join their expanding team and take lead aspects of control panel installation on customer sites.

What's involved for the Project Engineer

  • Oversee every stage of the project, from initial handover to final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and specifications are adhered to.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing timely updates and managing expectations throughout the project.
  • Lead site operations (2-3 days per week), supervising installation teams, facilitating site meetings, and addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Partner with internal teams, including Sales, Design, Engineering, and Administration, to ensure smooth project execution and resolve site-level issues.
  • Review and manage Variation Orders (VOs), assist in preparation, and issue them to clients in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are delivered to sites efficiently and according to schedule, liaising with relevant teams for seamless execution.
  • Oversee the finalisation and distribution of all technical documentation at the end of the project.

What you'll need…

  • Experience in Project Management within electrical or building services
  • A strong grasp of electrical systems and the ability to oversee installation processes effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and proper installation.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe as required for project oversight.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
