TOOLMAKER – MANSFIELD, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

£21PH – MONDAY – FRIDAY 8AM-4PM – NO SHIFTS OR ALLOWANCE (37.5 HOURS PER WEEK)

Leading Injection Moulding company are seeking an experienced Toolmaker for its Tooling Division in Nottinghamshire. Working alongside some of the largest blue-chip organisations in the world, the company can offer competitive pay, great benefits, and a fantastic work environment.

THE ROLE

To maintain and repair all tooling to its optimum condition and support production and all other departments across the facility.

  • To utilise good working practices and work safely and efficiently within the department and adhere to company guidelines.
  • To ensure that all tooling is maintained and repaired to a high standard and is released to production in first class condition.
  • To identify areas of improvement and implement where necessary within the PPM system.
  • To ensure all activities are carried out cost effectively.
  • To undertake any activity deemed to be within the Toolmakers ability.
  • Maintain good levels of housekeeping.
  • Pass on training to New Starters and Apprentices

WORK EXPERIENCES/KNOWLEDGE:

  • A good understanding of all H&S systems and practices i.e. COSHH, Abrasive Wheel, Manual Handling, etc
  • An understanding of plastic injection mould process, tooling and valve gate hot runner systems.
  • A knowledge of all Toolroom machinery and its capabilities both conventional and CNC
  • Able to spark erode
  • Computer Literate
  • To have a good understanding of the Toolroom's role within the company.

  • Flexibility and reliability are pre-requisites for this role.
  • A positive ‘can do ‘attitude.
  • Ability to ‘think out of the box' and to propose new ideas where applicable.
