ABOUT THE ROLE

2 positions available

Post 1 - immediate start - Mondays and Fridays 8 hours per day.

Post 2 - July start - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 hours per day.

I am a young female adult living with my parents in our family home, in Mansfield. I have an acquired brain injury which causes me to have complex epilepsy and non-epileptic seizures. My brain injury has impacted my cognitive ability. I have always been cared for by my parents and education but as I become an adult, I now need a team of personal assistants to support me to have more independence.

I like to have a purpose each day and need my personal assistants to be patient and understanding of my needs, I enjoy arts and crafts and watching films and sports and would like to have somebody who can support me in my day to day living including accessing the community.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will live locally to me, be flexible, patient, have a calm presence and a genuine caring nature. You will need to be enthusiastic and inspiring to bring a sense of energy into my life. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my family and my home.

Candidates must be female due to the nature of the role and preferably have care experience.

A Rota will be planned and agreed in advance. Anyone looking to apply needs to consider that my hours of support may change depending on my future with college so my team will need to offer some flexibility with their hours to support changes.

The hourly rate of pay is £13.13 per hour and all training is paid for including the hours to complete the necessary training. An in-depth training package will be delivered to my team to support you to understand how to care for me and to meet my needs.

Benefits

In return for your dedication, youll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:

  • 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
