We are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Maintenance Inspector to join dynamic Tenant & Leaseholder Services team. If you're dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring our properties are maintained to the highest standards, this is the role for you!

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Maintenance Inspector, you will play a crucial role in delivering a responsive repair, cyclical maintenance, and void refurbishment programmes. Your expertise will help ensure that the properties are not only safe and well-maintained but also a great place for the residents to call home. You'll regularly survey properties, identify repair needs, and manage the condition of the housing stock, all while ensuring quality and value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of occupied and vacant properties, detailing necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Monitor contractor performance to uphold quality, response time, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Communicate effectively with residents throughout the repair process, keeping them informed on progress.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including fire safety and asbestos regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication regarding ongoing projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of building maintenance, construction defects, statutory landlord obligations, and health and safety regulations.
  • Skills: Ability to make informed decisions, prepare detailed specifications of work, and manage relationships with contractors and team members effectively.
  • Experience: Proven experience in repairs diagnosis, working with the public, and delivering effective maintenance programs.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field, along with any additional relevant industry qualifications.
