Academics Canterbury are excited to recruit a committed and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Margate.

The school is dedicated to offering an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive environment, helping children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs develop into confident and responsible young people. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting with learning activities and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create specific learning plans catered to individual pupils
  • Maintain a positive attitude that will motivate the children you work with

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting/ SEMH background
  • Passion, empathy and desire for working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • A strong communicator who is able to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
