About the Role:
- Design and deliver creative, individualized lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEN, including those with ASD, SEMH, MLD, and other learning differences
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting teaching strategies to meet evolving needs
- Work collaboratively with parents, teaching assistants, and external professionals to support pupils’ holistic development
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of abilities and needs
- Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting every child’s individual learning journey
- Skilled in adapting teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learning needs and promote inclusion
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborative team player, experienced in working closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to deliver effective personalised support
- Knowledgeable about relevant SEN legislation, assessment frameworks, and best practices in SEND education
