Mechanical Engineer

Our client close to Matlock are on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / MechanicalTechnician / Mechanical Fitter / Contract Engineer / Multiskilled engineer to join thier team.

Salary:30 - 35per hour

Working hours:12hr days & nights shift pattern

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and equipment
• Ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
• Diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, and implementing preventative measures to minimise downtime.
• This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail.

Skills and experience:

• A recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds)
• Proven experience in a maintenance mechanical role
• Experience in a medium to heavy engineering enviroment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to health and safety standards
