Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Document Management Systems Coordinator on behalf of a highly reputable company in the animal health and nutrition industry to work in their Research and Development team. This role is an initial 12 month contract with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis at their offices based at Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire.

The successful Document Management Systems Coordinator will ensure that the Research establishment is using the most appropriate technical systems and tools in place for easy, secure and efficient storage and access to their knowledge assets, records, documents and information in a digital and hybrid working environment. Knowledge around PowerApps and SharePoint is advantageous for the role and a previous background in Knowledge Management being beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify short or long-term opportunities to improve information and document capture and management, define ways of working and then managing the changes effectively into operation

  • Ownership and administration of the critical information and document systems and tools including our primary electronic document and records management system (EDRMS) SharePoint Online, O365 and any other relevant platforms. Ensure that they are configured and are used in a way that supports current and future needs.

  • Help teams in upskilling administrators around tools and locally developed applications

  • Ensure efficient systems or processes are in place to enable employees to access external scientific publications. Oversee the management of the global account for accessing external scientific publications through key suppliers of journal

  • Re-define core applications to make sure there is a full support model in place

  • Use Microsoft tools to report and develop decisions

Key Skills / Experience Required:

  • Track record of working with and managing business systems

  • Strong understanding of information and document systems management, principles and best practice

  • A Knowledge Management background is beneficial

  • Command of SharePoint Online as a platform & modern SharePoint development framework

  • Mastery of SharePoint administration, modern pages and web parts is ideal

  • Experience with workflow tools such as Power Automate

  • Experience and understanding with PowerApps and Power Bi is ideal

  • Previous experience in R&D organisations - generating reports etc
