Supply Chain Planning Manager - East Midlands
Salary £55K Base plus Car allowance and Excellent Benefits
Our Client is an International FMCG Distributor
They are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to lead and optimize our end-to-end sales and planning process. This role is responsible for ensuring alignment between sales, supply chain, finance, and operations to drive business performance, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the process to align supply and demand planning with business objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to create accurate demand forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with finance to align planning with financial goals and budgeting.
- Optimise inventory management strategies to balance supply and demand effectively.
- Utilise data analytics tools and technology to enhance decision-making in sales and operations planning.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between all business units regarding demand and supply plans.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Sales and Operations Planning, Supply Chain Management, or a related role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in demand planning software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in process improvement and change management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or FMCG.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
