Job Title: Telephone Business Development Manager

Salary: £25-£30,000 DOE + bonus scheme worth approx. £5,000 p.a. + optional overtime + benefits

Location: Rotherham, Mon-Fri 4 days in office, 1 from home, 37.5 h/w

Overview:

Our client is a well-established financial services business operating as a mortgage intermediary, connecting borrowers with lenders rather than lending directly.

Role:

This is a new, multi-skilled role with strong emphasis on both sales and customer service within the Financial Services sector. The focus is to develop and maximise business opportunities for 1st Charge Mortgages and Bridging Loans through our client's existing Credit Intermediary Network, while identifying cross-sell potential and onboarding new introducers.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with existing Credit Intermediaries to strengthen relationships and increase business volume
  • Understand individual introducer businesses to explore cross-sell opportunities (e.g., mortgage vs secured loans)
  • Onboard new introducers to broaden our client's business reach
  • Support external BDMs by liaising with their networks during absences/holidays
  • Conduct Zoom/phone calls with dormant introducers to reignite interest
  • Coordinate with processing and underwriting teams to deliver a seamless service
  • Assist with management reporting and marketing initiatives as required

Qualifications/requirements:

  • CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record in sales, ideally in financial services or mortgage markets
  • Strong negotiating, relationship-building, and objection-handling skills
  • Proactive approach to identifying and closing business opportunities
  • High level of telephone, IT, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
