Join the Emergency and Safety Team of a local authority as a Health and Safety Technical Officer and contribute significantly across all council services. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and proficient in managing records and supporting safety initiatives.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage and maintain important health and safety records.
- Assist in the delivery of projects and track actions to ensure timely completion.
- Support the organisation and delivery of training sessions and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor and report on workplace incidents, producing statistics and identifying trends.
- Assist with budget monitoring and financial processes related to health and safety.
- Experience in administrative or technical support roles, preferably within a health and safety context.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in using IT systems for report creation.
- Ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload and meet strict deadlines.
