We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team, covering various locations in Rotherham for a local authority. This role is ideal for someone passionate about maintaining outdoor spaces to ensure they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Being a driver is preferred but not essential.
Day-to-day of the role:- Landscaping, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining greenery to high standards.
- Planting new greenery and maintaining existing plant life.
- Clearing debris from outdoor spaces to ensure they are tidy and hazard-free.
- Conducting minor repairs on outdoor fixtures and furniture.
- Engaging in seasonal tasks such as snow removal or applying treatments to surfaces to prevent slips or falls.
- Operating a variety of maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Knowledge of horticulture
- Proficiency in operating grounds maintenance equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A driving licence is preferred but not essential.
