Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (overtime available)
25,600 - 28,288 depending on experience.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Depot Engineer to join our Major Repairs Team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining and refurbishing a range of depot equipment to the highest standards. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, a methodical approach to repairs, and a strong sense of responsibility within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Repairs & Maintenance

  • Diagnose faults and undertake major in-house repairs on various types of equipment.
  • Conduct planned and preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment remains operational.
  • Manage and maintain accurate stock levels of spare parts and materials.
  • Log all parts used via the mobile tablet system for accurate record-keeping.
  • Job Processing & Reporting
  • Accurately process and update job details and repair statuses using the works mobile tablet.
  • Support Across Sites
  • Provide flexible support to other depots or operational areas when required.
  • Workplace Maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment always.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Assist with additional tasks or projects as directed by the Foreman or Depot Manager.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar equipment repair and maintenance role.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to tasks.
  • Experience using mobile tablet systems for job tracking and reporting.
  • Background in a similar industry or experience with specialist equipment.
