Role
The next Director will be responsible for the strategic and people leadership of the division. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance efficiency and lead teams through transformation and change.
This role is heavily focussed on people leadership, culture influence and driving growth - if you are a senior Engineering leader motivated by challenges of working with people then this could be a role interest.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an division strategy
- Ensureefficiency, cost control and high-quality output is maintained
- Implement and sustain continuous improvement activities
- Lead change management programmesacross the organisation.
- Drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making andprocess optimisation
- Oversee large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards
- Manage budgets, capital investments, and operational costs to optimise financial performance.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (or other relatable field)
- Lean Six Sigma certification (desirable)
Other
- Middlesbrough area based and headquartered.
- Occasional travel required - couple of international visits a year
- Primarily site/office based with work from home flexibility available
