Sterling Recruitment Services areexcited to be recruiting for aCredit Controller working for a global supplier of Materials based in Middlesbrough.This role is pivotal in assisting with credit risk and ensuring the financial stability of our clientsoperations.

As this position is new to our clients business we are looking for someone with a strong Credit Control/ Credit Risk background, to be able to use their own initiative/creativity to implement credit policies and procedures to mitigate risk. We are seeking someone that is wanting to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyse credit risk for new and existing customers.
  • Monitor customer accounts for payment trends and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to evaluate customer creditworthiness.
  • Prepare detailed reports on credit risk exposure and recommend actions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of credit limits and terms based on financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Credit Control- Ad hoc duties.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in credit risk or credit Control.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.
  • Ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Self-sufficient.
