Residential Workers - Middlesbrough Children's Services

Permanent 27,254 - 28,142 (higher rate upon completion of QCF Level 4)

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver nurturing, trauma-informed care that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of children and families
  • Support children with challenging behaviour, emotional difficulties, and additional needs
  • Work flexibly across homes and in the community, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
  • Maintain and update care plans, attend reviews, and supervise family contact
  • Administer medication (training provided) and act as Key Worker when required

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working within the PRICE framework (Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment)
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care and safeguarding practices
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and support emotional wellbeing
  • Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • NVQ Level 3/QCF Diploma in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards)
