Role Overview:As a Social Worker in the SCP Team, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and young people at risk of harm. Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and well-being of children in the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Referral Management: Receive and assess referrals from various sources, including schools, healthcare providers, and the public, to determine the level of risk to children.

Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs and risks of children and families, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.

Care Planning: Develop and implement effective intervention plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, in collaboration with families and other professionals.

Court Proceedings: Prepare and present reports for legal proceedings, representing the SCP Team in court and providing professional testimony as required.

Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, including health professionals, educators, and law enforcement, to develop and implement coordinated plans to address the needs of children and families.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to relevant policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Social Work Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Social Work.

Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in child protection or related fields.
