We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support to adults at risk, ensuring their rights are protected and their well-being is prioritised.About the Role:As a Social Worker in our Adults Safeguarding Team, you will play a vital role in protecting vulnerable adults and promoting their independence and safety. Your responsibilities will include:Conducting safeguarding enquiries: You will lead Section 42 enquiries under the Care Act 2014, assessing concerns and taking appropriate actions to ensure safety and well-being.Undertaking assessments: You will complete Care Act assessments and mental capacity assessments, working with individuals to understand their needs and outcomes.Working in partnership: Collaborate with health services, police, advocacy services, and other partners to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding issues.Developing support plans: Create person-centred care and support plans that promote choice, control, and independence.Promoting best practices: Ensure all safeguarding work is in line with statutory duties, council policies, and national guidance.Maintaining accurate records: Keep clear, concise, and up-to-date case notes and documentation for all safeguarding activities.Championing the rights of adults: Advocate for adults at risk, ensuring their voices are heard and respected in all aspects of their care.Who we're looking for:We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Worker with a strong understanding of adult safeguarding legislation and the needs of vulnerable adults.You will have:A recognised social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, BSc Social Work)Registration with Social Work EnglandExperience in adult safeguarding, including undertaking S42 enquiriesA strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and related legislationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in working collaboratively with multi-agency partnersA commitment to promoting independence, choice, and well-being in adults at risk
