We've partnered with a leading global manufacturer to recruit a skilled Electrical Engineer to support and improve site-wide electrical systems. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to develop into a leadership position, driving improvement projects and mentoring others within the maintenance team.

Hours & Salary:

  • 40,000 - 52,000 (depending on experience)
  • Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week (flexible schedule covering core hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver electrical and automation projects to improve performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults across production machinery.
  • Program and update PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi experience preferred).
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade control panels and automated systems.
  • Carry out planned maintenance and ensure minimal downtime across departments.
  • Support continuous improvement, identifying efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS software and ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues and assist contractors as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing or production support environment.
  • Strong fault-finding, PLC, and control system experience.
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Level 4/5 or Degree preferred).
  • Skilled in automation systems, electrical safety, and 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, EPlan, or similar).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and confident leading projects or small teams.
