We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff to gain valuable classroom experience in a dynamic and supportive school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, maintaining behaviour standards, and supporting pupils with their learning.
Key Responsibilities:-
Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences across a range of subjects

Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

Respond to general questions and provide basic support to students during lessons

Ensure a calm, safe, and productive learning environment

Report back to teaching staff on class performance and any issues

Confident, professional, and able to manage a classroom environment independently

Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in a school, tutoring, coaching, mentoring) is highly desirable

Strong communication and organisational skills

Flexible, proactive, and resilient under pressure

Graduate or equivalent qualification preferred
