Role Overview:
The company is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to join its late-shift team. The successful candidate will have a key role in the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, setting up and operating CNC machine centres to produce precision components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Mazak and Doosan CNC turning and milling machines.
- Program and adjust machines to meet production requirements.
- Carry out in-process dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measurement equipment.
- Ensure components conform to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate clearly with operators and engineers.
- Operate multiple machines when required.
- Work independently with the confidence to solve problems on the shop floor.
Experience and Competencies:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator within precision engineering or prototype manufacturing.
- Skilled in Mazak or Doosan machine centres.
- Competent in Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and measurement techniques.
- Experienced in machining a range of metals and plastics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback.
- Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Confident, autonomous, and able to problem-solve effectively.
