We’re working with a prestigious Top 15 UK firm - part of a global network - who are looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing team. What the role looks like:
As an Assistant Manager in the audit team, you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit clients - leading on engagements from planning to completion, overseeing more complex assignments, and ensuring high-quality delivery throughout.
You’ll manage, review and support the work of juniors and seniors, acting as a mentor and point of escalation, while also playing a key part in building long-term client relationships. You'll use your insight to help clients navigate risk and compliance, while also identifying areas where you can add commercial value.
Continuous improvement is a big focus - you'll contribute ideas, champion best practices, and help embed a tech-enabled approach to client service.
What they’re looking for:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing audit assignments within practice
- Strong technical knowledge, including up-to-date accounting standards
- Confident managing teams and reviewing others’ work
- Familiar with audit software such as CaseWare and comfortable with Excel/Word
- Excellent communication skills - able to build trust and influence at all levels
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client needs
- A team player who actively contributes to team development and culture
- Positive, solution-focused, and committed to delivering quality and consistency
