Astute's Renewables team is partnering with an innovative property solutions provider committed to simplifying home energy upgrades to recruit a Solar Technical Lead. This role is a fully remote position with the occasional on site visits to installs.
The strategically important Solar Technical Lead role comes with a salary between 50,000- 65,000, depending on experience, company van and bonus incentives.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Directors, you will:
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Ensure all works meets industry compliance standards.
- Oversee and sign off installation work delivered.
- Provide hands-on technical support and mentoring to internal teams and partnered installers.
- Manage technical elements of solar and battery projects from inception to completion.
- Drive continuous improvement across installation processes and product standards.
- Liaise with clients, manufacturers, and installers to resolve technical queries and ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Proven experience installing systems using the OpenSolar platform.
- In-depth understanding of MCS standards and certification processes.
