Health and Safety Officer - Milton Keynes (Full-Time, On-Site)

We are supporting a well-established electrical contracting business based in Milton Keynes in their search for a Health and Safety Officer. The company delivers electrical services across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors, operating to the highest standards of professionalism and compliance. With multiple industry accreditations—including NICEIC Approved Contractor status, MCS Certification, and recognition from health and safety bodies—they are committed to quality, safety, and continued growth.

On Offer:

  • Salary £30,000 - £40,000
  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Role Overview:

This is a full-time, on-site role for an experienced Health and Safety Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures across all business activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments

  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with health and safety legislation

  • Delivering safety training and promoting safety awareness among staff

  • Investigating incidents and producing detailed reports

  • Maintaining accurate safety records and documentation

  • Supporting and promoting a culture of safety across the workforce

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Workplace Safety practices

  • Proven knowledge of Occupational Health and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards

  • NEBOSH certification (or equivalent qualification) is essential

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Strong attention to detail with the capacity to manage high-pressure situations

  • Prior experience in the electrical or construction sectors is highly desirable
