Job Title: Car Park Management Operative

Location: Milton Keynes, MK1

Pay Rate: £12.21 p/h 

Shifts: Friday to Sunday, with potential weekday availability as needed.

Gap personnel are proud to be working together with one of our clients who are the world's largest manufacturer of shopping trolleys and luggage trolleys.

Due to the nature of the job, candidates must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting as required by the workload.This is a physically demanding role that requires individuals who are fit, active, and comfortable with continuous manual work throughout the shift.

Potential shift times:

  • 10:00am – 6:30pm
  • 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • 1:30pm – 10:00pm
  • 4:30pm – 10:00pm

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Job Duties and key requirements:

  • Physically fit and active – must be able to walk long distances, push multiple trolleys, and lift when required.
  • Collect and organize abandoned shopping trolleys from the car park and surrounding areas.
  • Push trolleys safely to designated bays and store entrances, often over varying terrain and in different weather conditions.
  • Inspect trolleys for damage and report any issues for repair.
  • Ensure all trolleys are in good working condition and safe for customer use.
  • Assist customers with trolley usage when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free car park and trolley bay area.
  • Support other teams with additional physical tasks as required.

Ideal Candidate Will Be / Have:

  • Experience working in a physically demanding or outdoor role (e.g. warehouse, logistics, or labour-intensive environment).
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work, including lifting, pushing, and walking long distances.
  • Good attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a hands-on approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Health & safety conscious, always prioritizing safe working practices.
  • Enthusiastic work ethic with a willingness to improve and make a positive impact.
