We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Exams Officer to join a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is a supply position to support the school until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Exams Officer will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all internal and external examinations within the school. The role requires a highly organised individual who can manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with staff and students, and ensure the school adheres to all regulatory requirements related to examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration, organisation, and smooth running of internal and external exams.

  • Liaise with awarding bodies, senior leadership, teaching staff, and invigilators.

  • Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations and school policies at all times.

  • Manage exam timetables, entries, seating plans, and invigilation staffing.

  • Handle and securely store confidential materials.

  • Respond to queries from students, staff, and parents regarding exam arrangements and results.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports of all examination procedures.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service).

  • Proven and relevant experience as an Exams Officer, ideally within a secondary school environment.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A calm, professional manner with the ability to work well under pressure.
