Accounts Receivable Assistant - Temporary Contract - Milton Keynes

Macildowie are working with this client based in Milton Keynes to recruit a Temporary Sales Ledger Assistant to support the finance function for a minimum of 6 months. This role offers hybrid working and is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, well-established business within the commercial sector.

  • Rate: Up to £15 per hour
  • Contract: Temporary - at least 6 months
  • Working arrangement: Hybrid - typically 2-3 days from home
  • Reporting to: Transactional Finance Manager
  • Team: Working alongside a Senior Sales Ledger Assistant with over 10 years' experience at the business

You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative transactional finance team, helping to maintain and improve sales ledger processes while contributing to wider finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing receipts and reconciling payments using Connections software and Sage
  • Managing EPOS reconciliations and cash allocations
  • Assisting with daily banking tasks and cash book processing
  • Supporting monthly reconciliations across various control accounts
  • Contributing to month-end processes and reporting tasks
  • Providing ad hoc administrative and finance support when required

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a sales ledger or finance support role
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs essential)
  • A team-player with a proactive and organised approach
  • Confidence working with internal systems and learning new tools
