We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic team at a Secondary School in Milton Keynes, starting in September 2025. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students in a well-established, thriving educational environment.
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love of literature, language, and writing among students. You will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal development of students, ensuring that each learner is given the tools and opportunities to reach their full potential. Your commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere will be key to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English that are tailored to the curriculum and student needs.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help all students achieve their best outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the English department and across the school to enhance the educational experience of students.
- Support students in their personal and academic development, promoting a positive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Contribute to the wider school community, engaging with extra-curricular activities, parent evenings, and school events.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
- UK teaching experience in English, with proven experience in delivering high-quality lessons.
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong understanding of the English curriculum and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
