We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Milton Keynes from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator committed to delivering high-quality maths education and inspiring students to reach their full academic potential.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured maths lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Differentiate teaching to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL

  • Track and assess pupil progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and targeted intervention

  • Promote mathematical reasoning and problem-solving through active and inclusive teaching methods

  • Uphold high standards of classroom management and behaviour in accordance with school policy

  • Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and curriculum development

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning

  • Participate in school-wide events, enrichment programmes, and revision support sessions

  Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 is advantageous but not essential)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for mathematics

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all backgrounds and abilities

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

  • Up-to-date understanding of teaching standards and educational best practice
