Position: Internal Technical Sales
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000

Nicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity within Internal Technical Sales, working for a specialist electronics client based in Milton Keynes. Established for almost 30 years, our client has developed exclusive partnerships with world-leading manufacturers supplying a wide portfolio of products.
The Role
As part of our client's continued growth, an exciting vacancy has arisen for a Technical Sales to join their current Sales Team.
Training will be given for the role and to be successful you will need a high level of attention to detail, be self-motivated with a can-do attitude & take the initiative in tasks that may be given. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency is essential. Quality of work over quantity is key to be successful in this role!
The position will suit an individual wishing to work in a small company with exposure to a variety of tasks and a willingness to learn new electrical products. The role will be working very closely with customers and suppliers, building & nurturing relationships to exceed expectations.
Our client will work with you to help you become self-sufficient and independent, to contribute to achieving the sales team targets.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT OF DESIGNATED CUSTOMERS
CREATE AND SEND CUSTOMER QUOTATIONS
FOLLOW UP QUOTES FOR CONVERSION TO ORDER
LIAISING WITH SUPPLIERS AND CUSTOMERS' ENQUIRIES
TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO CUSTOMERS WITH DESIGN & ENGINEERING QUERIES
LOG RFQ's AND TRACK SALES
CONTRACT REVIEW OF CUSTOMER ORDERS
UPDATE ON SALES ACTIVITY
ADVISE ON ANY PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS
ASSIST WITH ANY ISO DOCUMENTATION
ASSIST WITH EXPORT COMPLIANCE
ASSIST MARKETING WITH COMPANY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS E.G. LINKEDIN, WEBSITE NEW ARTICLES.
GENERATE AND ASSIST IN DEVELOPING NEW CUSTOMERS
LEARN PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
ANSWERING INCOMING TELEPHONE CALLS, DATA ENTRY TASKS
UPDATING CUSTOMER RECORDS
Essential Skills & Experience
It is essential you have a proactive attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative. You must have a structured approach to work, prioritise and manage the workload efficiently and effectively, whilst demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the willingness to learn new products.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
High level of knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Some technical ability and willingness to learn electrical & thermal products
5+ years of office experience
Industry knowledge and experience an advantage
Sales experience
Ability to read technical drawings is an advantage
Supplier relationship management experience is also an advantage
Experience with Sage is a bonus.
Exposure to Export is a bonus
