We're looking for a motivated and personable Internal Technical Sales professional to join our clients dynamic Sales Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a degree-level education in electrical engineering (or equivalent) who enjoys building relationships and providing technical solutions with a personal touch.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Sales team, you'll work closely with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face to identify and maximise sales opportunities. Your role will be varied and rewarding, including:

  • Advising customers on compatible products and services while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Keeping customers informed on product availability, pricing, discounts, and delivery timelines.
  • Sourcing alternative parts when lead times don't meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of our franchise suppliers and sourcing non-franchise products when needed.
  • Interpreting customer requirements and recommending associated products.
  • Negotiating pricing with commercial awareness to maximise margins.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Taking ownership of your personal development and contributing to team performance.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • A solid educational background, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Ideally, a degree or ONC/HNC qualification in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - you enjoy engaging with people and making a positive impression.
  • A methodical and precise approach to work.
  • Excellent customer service and support skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
  • Experience in electrical engineering or electrical distribution is highly desirable.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and seek continuous improvement.

The role is based in the Milton Keynes office working Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm.
